Three fashion trends for spring/summer 2011 you may not have heard of yet are the all-white look, the midi length for skirts and dresses and the tailored trouser trend.

You know you’ve found a trend when even the dark nights come over to the light. This shows true for designer Alexander Wang whose spring collection included light pastel clothing over the black stuff. But other designers went even further such as Ann Demeulemeester and Pedro Lourenço who created all white outfits for the runway.

The midi look is also “in” including skirts and dresses to your knee, mid-calf and even ankle. If you’re used to your miniskirts you’ll have to get used to this longer style. Not an easy task for everyone. Yes, the return of ladylike dresses and long skirts is here. You’ll see this trend return with Calvin Klein’s collection among others.

Lastly, if you hate the midi trend you may be happy that tailored trousers are also making a comeback this season.  Michael Kors’ was all about using boy styled trousers for women this season where as Derek Lam went for the high-wasted seventies styled pants.
