Not everyone realizes how important it is to dress your body type correctly. If you’ve been finding you need a change in style or you aren’t happy with the way your clothes look on you it could be just that you aren’t dressing correctly for your own body type.

Feeling beautiful is key to all women as is knowing how to dress your body type. So to help you out I’ve created a list of body types and what works for each.

Larger Bodies

If you have a larger body, dark colours always make you look slimmer. Also, avoid tight clothes and extreme prints. Black always suits a heavier build as it reduces folds in fabric making you look thinner. Attempt to wear properly fitted clothing as baggy clothes draw attention to undesired areas. Vertical stripes also help show off your curves in the way you’d wish.

Large Hips

If you’re a bit wide around your hips no reason to be concerned. You can wear a bootcut leg pant that won’t accentuate the difference between your legs and hips. Purchase pants without details or pockets around your hipline. Plus, avoid pleats and patterned clothing. As for colours, stick to dark solid one’s adding some light hues and slight patterns to your shirts.

Short Bodies

Wear short skirts to help make your legs look longer and wear similar colours when crafting outfits to get rid of massive colour differences that make you look shorter. Avoid detailed patterned clothes and wear well fitted clothes otherwise you’ll look smaller.     

Tall Bodies

Wear horizontal stripes and create your outfits with lots of colour contrasts. Plus, wear knee-high boots and long shirts to make you look shorter.
